Lactation Services

We are here to help you make feeding your baby a fulfilling and positive experience.

Rest assured that a mother's milk has all the nutrition needed to keep a baby healthy, and only very rarely is there a medical or physical reason that a woman cannot breastfeed her baby.

You and your baby can enjoy the many benefits of breastfeeding, including a very close and special mother-baby relationship.

Methodist Women's Hospital Is Breastfeeding-Friendly

Methodist Women's Hospital promotes the benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and baby within an environment totally supportive of a woman’s desire to breastfeed.

Regardless of whether a baby is fed by breast or bottle, Methodist Women's Hospital supports a parent’s choice, with programs in place to help all new families get off to a healthy start.

Methodist offers free support groups to new moms who need support and reassurance to breastfeed and for women who want to cotinue breastfeeding after returning to work. Learn more about Baby & Me and Back to Work and Breastfeeding Support Groups.
